The song that I have chosen to do is a song called “Strange”
by the band The Score. The Score is an American indie pop band that plays and
makes music. They formed in 2015. The group consists of Eddie Anthony (vocals and
guitar) and Eden Dover (keyboard and producer). The band get a record deal
with the Republic Records because of their song “Oh My Love” appeared in an
Asda advert.
The score is recently a new band with a few albums such as
Myths and Legends, Atlas and there newest one Pressure. They have released a couple of music videos, one which is a lyric video
but with animation. I believe that this style was used because of the song is
up beat and having a soft and smooth transaction made the video more watchable
and remember able.
Listing to the songs the band always makes and produce song
that has a up beat tone and a message in the lyrics. For example, the song
Unstoppable which was made by them is song about never giving up on what you
believe and what you want to achieve.
The majority of there songs have no music videos, but a few
does. So, I can’t really pair the music videos together. The only music videos
that I’ve find with the songs are “Unstoppable” which is a lyric video and “Oh
My Love” and “Stronger” the bands appear in those videos but are lip syncing to
the song. Both the songs are a pump-up song that has a lot of beats. The music
videos are cutting to the next scene quickly and it goes with the song beat,
the type has showed it as an enjoyable song that people can dance to. The music
videos do have a narrative
The score logo and the album cover are simple and edgy but different
to other artist which makes them more remember able.
